Created Freight Tracking iPhone and BlackBerry App for a Customs Brokerage Company
The client is a leading customs brokerage and freight forwarding company based in Canada.
Flatworld Solutions' challenge was to create a mobile application solution that would enable app users access accounts, track shipments and get up-to-date real time status information on tracking freight.
The mobile application development team at Flatworld Solutions developed an app that enabled the users to access their account information and get updates on their shipments on their mobile phones. The app was further customized to provide a complete report of all the users' shipments and facilitate instant access to a particular shipment.
The special features in the mobile app included:
Instant look-up feature: This feature allows the client to enter the tracking number and get information about that particular shipment on their mobile phones. This feature can be used to gain quick access to information about a particular shipment without signing in to the account.
Online tracking feature: This feature is custom designed to give a more in-depth look at data for each user. Frequent users who have been provided with log-in credentials are able to get a snapshot view of all their shipments in one place arranged in reverse chronological order.
Additional features: Special additional features like the ability to tag an important shipment and forward the information via email have also been included.
The mobile app solution has helped the client provide mobile access to their users enabling them to track and trace their freight and shipment at all times. This mobile app can be used by iPhone and BlackBerry (Curve and Bold) users.
