The Customer

The customer is the leading manufacturer of CNC machines based in Illinois, USA. They are a well-known company in the CNC machine industry with experience in machine development, such as horizontal, vertical, and 5-axis machines.

The Requirement

The client intended to attend international fairs and exhibitions for which he requested 3D animations to present his products. In particular, they wanted to highlight the special features of the 5-axis CNC machine they had developed.

Project Challenges

Our team at Flatworld Solutions faced a few challenges during the implementation of the project. The major challenges were -

• The client wanted our team to provide product animation services within a quick time
• Understanding the intent of the client and building a storyboard for the animation was a challenging task for our team

FWS' Solution

For this project, we provided 4 permanent resources that worked together on three product models. The customer gave us a 3D model of the machine. We've created a storyboard animation and sent it to the customer for approval. This included a process overview, texture, speed, color details, etc. When the client approved the script, we animated a video with all the details of the product.

The client wanted several changes to the animation, and our team immediately worked on it and delivered the final result to the customer. Our engineering team used 3dsMax and MAYA software to develop a two-minute animated video of integrating components, technical system displays, spindle movements, and more.

The Results

The customer was very pleased with the animation we gave for their products. We have provided animations for 3 product models and delivered within a short time. The customer was not only impressed by the quality of the animated video we created but also by the cost-effectiveness of the entire project.
