The Client

A US healthcare services provider with specialization in hospital services, testing services, mental health services, women/s health services, specialty services, and substance abuse worked in community and had recordings of many focus group conversations. They required the following assistance -

• Labelling the focus groups individually based on the language and participants in the conversation
• English to Spanish audio transcription in three recordings of the focus group
• English to Spanish Translation and conversely in each transcription for matching the language

Client Requirements and Challenges

Flatworld Solutions was tasked to carry out transcription as well as translation services on recordings of the focus group. The top challenges faced by the client were as follows -

• Transcription in more than one language - Occasionally, audio files require the attention of multiple transcription experts if transcription involves more two or more languages
• The conversations exceeded 30 minutes and required separate transcriptions as well as translation for each of them
