Video Transcription and Subtitling Services for a US-based Client

Flatworld Solutions was contacted by a client that required subtitles to be added to 35 videos, each video of about 20 minutes of length. The client was looking for a partner who could transcribe the video files, convert them into .SRT format, and match them to the video.

The Challenges

With over 700 minutes of total video, and the need to both transcribe the video accurately and match it as a subtitle to the video itself, the main challenge would simply be the length of the task. Our team would need to watch all 700 minutes of video, transcribe it, and then connect it to the video again so that the subtitles matched up accordingly.

The Solution

Flatworld Solutions assigned 2 resources to work exclusively on this task. The team started by transcribing each video in its entirety. The Quality Assurance (QA) Team then reviewed the transcriptions for accuracy. Then the files were converted to .SRT transcripts and matched to the timeline of the videos. The QA team then reviewed the files again to make sure there were no errors or problems.

The Results

The final files were completed with a 99.5% accuracy rate, which well exceeded the client's expectations. They were extremely satisfied with the work provided, and promised to outsource more subtitle services once the work arose.
