The client started as a humble decorating company in 1927 in Dallas. They have changed, evolved, and upgraded their offerings over almost a century. Over the years, their expertise has expanded to include a full range of exhibit construction and management services. They went international in 1988. As of 2020, they have offices in the US, UK, China, and Singapore.
The client was looking for full-time designers to help them offer quality deliverables to their clientele. The designers must be available Monday through Friday, and even on Saturdays, during peak season. The client stressed robust infrastructure, consistent quality, and a 48-hour turnaround.
The client faced problems meeting client demand; they could not provide complete designs for Trade shows. They tried partnering with freelancers as a quick solution, but that came with several challenges in terms of quality, consistency, and coordination. When they met us, they had a backlog of more than three months.
We worked with the client's design team for one month to understand their workflow, design guidelines, and project specifications. Post this, we prepared a Process document and got a sign-off from the client. Based on the document, we hired and trained 16 FTE design resources. The client visited our facilities for two weeks and actively enrolled in the training process, where they introduced the resources to various media to explain the guideline better.
