While global CEOs had equipped themselves for force majeure calamities as well as natural disasters and were ready with their business continuity plans, no one was ever prepared for a COVID-19 situation that could lockdown 150 countries at once and not allow the workforce to reach their offices! The future business contingency plans will, therefore, focus on working from home.

Flatworld Restored 10000 Portraits for a Leading Australia-based Customer
The customer is a leading Australian company specializing in merchandising and sales in retail stores in Australia. The customer customizes services by understanding their products and maximizing profits and placing products in the right place and ensures it is always in stock.
The customer was looking for a partner who could help them with high-quality portrait recovery services. The client would be scanning and sending the pictures and our team would be getting rid of scratches and dust from old portraits.
Our photo editing had to face the following challenges during the execution of the project -
The customer wanted our team to remove all dust and scratches from portraits which were a huge challenge for us
The customer wanted our team to restore about 400 images a week
The client originally chose a trial version of the project because they wanted to test our services and resources. For the test, we assigned a resource for portrait recovery. Our resource would work on the restoration of 5 frames and each of the frames would have 4 images.
The customer was delighted and satisfied with our test project and chose to entrust us with the complete project. The client had about 10,000 images that had to be quickly recovered. Therefore, we allocated two resources for the project who provided 400 images per week to our customers. Our team member would spend approximately 12 minutes on each image.
The image was scanned and sent to us by the customer. Our resources used filters in Adobe Photoshop to remove dust and scratches from the image. The output file was created in PSD format and transferred to the client via Dropbox.
The customer was very satisfied with the results provided by Flatworld Solution's photo editing team. We provided them with cost-effective services that saved the client about 60% of the cost. The customer was not only satisfied with the fast turnaround time but also with the image quality we provided.
