Mobile Application Solution for a Telecommunications and Mobile Company
The Client
This client is a provider of a range of mobile phones, mobile broadband products and services that cover a wide range of communication needs.
The Need
Flatworld Solutions’ challenge was to create a complete mobile apps solution that would ensure secure fund transfer and payment application for resource constrained devices like mobile phones.
The Solution
A mobile payment application that enabled safe payments to be made through both high-end and low-end mobile handsets was developed.
Flatworld Solutions developed a mobile user interface using J2ME and J2ME Polish that could be used on high-end mobiles. To solve the problem of mobile phones that were not Java enabled another version of the mobile application was developed. This provided a custom menu based user interface that used USSD, SMS and SIM Toolkit.
The Result
Flatworld Solutions’ custom-made mobile solution allows users to store their money in a virtual account that can be securely accessed using the mobile phone. Additionally, various other financial transactions such as bill payments, Internet purchases, hotel bookings etc. can be made using their current mobile phones.
